“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Here I am for another week linking up with Donna Wishart at What the Redhead Said to share my Living Arrows photos to document our week. This week has been about cake and standing up.
On Saturday we went to a friend’s 3rd birthday party, much to Choupie’s delight. I had to wake them both up from their naps to go (very reluctantly, believe me) but Choupie loves doing something new and was up like a bolt of lightening when I said we were off to a party. Do you think it’s because she had cottoned onto the fact that there would be cake?
Earlier in the week, I tried baking with Choupie. I wanted to try and make something healthy and using a recipe with coconut flour and coconut oil. I loved the idea of them being sugar free (something this little lady certainly doesn’t need any more of). The preparation went relatively well, despite the first egg landing on the floor. It’s just such a shame that the muffins were, quite frankly, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Give me proper flour and sugar any day. Even the cake-loving toddler wouldn’t eat them, and that’s saying something!
Did someone say cake?
This little man’s suddenly learnt how to sit up and stand up in their cot on their own. This week he took his first few tentative moves that resembled crawling. Resembled, because he tends to shuffle forwards but then sits back again, so he ends up moving himself further away from the object he’s trying to reach. I’m really enjoying finding him in random places around the living room, although I’ve no idea how I’m going to keep track of both of them once he’s on the move. He currently wants me to hold his hands to walk him around everywhere. Two months of bad back, here we come!
Our little man was happy to start seeing the world from new angles this week
Wishing you all a fabulous rest of the week!
