My Living Arrows photo of the week 2/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

I’m delighted to join in this Living Arrows community hosted by Donna Wishart at What The Redhead Said with a new photo every week that sums up a moment in Choupie’s and Petit Pudding’s childhood.
Blowing out candles for my birthday
Happy Birthday to…moi!
I had quite a few photos to choose from last week as Frenchie was off work until Thursday, and we managed to get out quite a bit as a family. However, I’m going to be very selfish and pick a moment that was special for me. Because as mums, we never focus on ourselves and if you can’t self indulge on your birthday, I don’t know when you can.
Choupie loves a bit of chocolate and it was so fun hearing her and papa whispering about going out to buy a cake earlier that day. I loved this moment as we were all off together, Choupie looked hilarious covered in chocolate afterwards (not to mention became high as a kite) and even Petit Pudding had a small mouthful – his first piece of chocolate.
Here we are together, blowing out the candles. We no longer do numbers….!

Beautiful! I love a birthday cake shot! You look so happy here too, it’s lovely. It’s my husband’s birthday in a few weeks and my son is so excited to make him a cake (I stupidly promised we’d make it – regretting that bold statement now!) #LivingArrows
