Set to capture a year in childhood with Living Arrows #1/52

Hoorah. A new year and I’ve just found a brand new community to get involved with after discovering this post by one of my favourite bloggers, Katy, over at Hot Pink Wellingtons.

Inspired by a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, Living Arrows is a project set up by Donna at What The Redhead Said as a way to capture a moment in childhood from the previous week.

The linky runs weekly and I’m so excited that I’ve discovered this in the first week of January. Wouldn’t it be amazing if I can get to the end of 2017 with a whole year of weekly posts for Mon Petit Pudding and La Choupie?

Christmas day

Desperate to steal your sister's toy

This photo is so special to me as it’s our first year as a family of four. This is Petit Pudding’s first Christmas and I think the image pretty much sums up how he got his nickname. At 8 months, he’s not on the move yet, but you can tell it’s only a matter of time before he’s up and about stealing his sister’s toys.

La Choupie’s now 26 months and this was the first Christmas where she understood something was going on and met Santa for the first time. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are all set for a fun and fabulous 2017.

Congratulations Kerry. There is definitely something so much more special about Christmas once you have a family isn’t there? Glad to hear you had a good one!

What a lovely festive photo!! Beautiful children and love their Christmas pyjamas! I’m joining Living Arrows for the first time this week too, hoping I can keep it up through the year… I probably take enough pictures, haha.

Thanks Gemma! I know what you mean about all the photos – my phone’s storage is currently maxed out! I look forward to checking out your photos throughout the year too xx

That photo is utterly beautiful and looks like something out of a magazine. Such a lovely photo to mark your first Christmas as a four. It’s so lovely to have you joining in – and Katy’s blog is one of my favourites too x

Thanks for the warm welcome Donna. My hubby loves any excuse to get the big boy camera out. He’s been testing his new lenses today. Do boys ever grow up? 🙂
